These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website francescafrancistherapy.co.uk (the “Website”) and any services (“Therapy Services”, “Services”) provided by Francesca Francis Therapy (“we”, “us”, “our”, or “Francesca Francis Therapy”). By accessing or using the Website or engaging in our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Website or engage our Services.
1. Definitions
Client / You / Your — the person who visits the Website or uses the Services.
Services — counselling, psychotherapy, therapy, or other mental health support provided by Francesca Francis Therapy.
Session — an individual appointment or meeting between you and the therapist.
Confidential Information — any information shared during sessions, or other personal data disclosed to us.
2. Use of the Website
We endeavour to ensure the Website is accessible 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
All Website content (text, images, design, etc.) is our intellectual property and must not be reproduced or distributed without permission.
You agree not to use the Website unlawfully, disrupt its function, or attempt unauthorised access.
3. Engagement of Services
Appointments: Sessions are arranged in advance and may be in person, online, or by telephone.
Cancellation: Cancelling/rescheduling within 48 hours of the session may incur a cancellation fee or the full session fee. Missed sessions without notice are non-refundable.
Fees: Fees are payable as agreed at booking. Payment is required in advance or on the day of the session. Fees may change with prior notice.
Termination: Either party may end the therapeutic relationship with reasonable notice. Outstanding fees must be settled immediately.
4. Confidentiality & Data Protection
Sessions are confidential. Information will not be shared without your consent, except:
If required by law;
If there is risk of harm to you or others;
For safeguarding concerns involving children or vulnerable adults.
Records are kept securely and in compliance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

5. Risks, Limitations & Disclaimer
Therapy can be emotionally challenging; results cannot be guaranteed.
Services do not replace medical or psychiatric care. You remain responsible for consulting your GP or psychiatrist regarding medication or medical conditions.
You are responsible for your own actions and decisions outside therapy.
6. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (e.g. loss of income, emotional distress outside sessions).
Liability for direct losses is capped at the total fees paid by you for Services in the preceding 12 months.
Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
7. Use of Materials
Any handouts or resources provided are for personal use only. They may not be shared, copied, or reproduced without written consent.
8. Communication
We may contact you by email, phone, or SMS for session reminders or therapy administration.
Sessions may not be recorded without prior written agreement.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with the Services, please raise this with us directly. If unresolved, you may escalate to the relevant professional body or regulator (e.g. BACP, UKCP, or other if applicable).
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. Updates will be posted on the Website with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of our Services indicates acceptance of any changes.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising from them are governed by the laws of:
England & Wales, if Services are provided there;
Scotland, if Services are provided there;
Northern Ireland, if Services are provided there.
The courts of the relevant jurisdiction will have exclusive authority to settle disputes.
12. General Provisions
Severability: If part of these Terms is invalid, the rest remain in effect.
Entire Agreement: These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, represent the whole agreement between you and Francesca Francis Therapy.
No Waiver: Failure to enforce any right under these Terms does not waive that right.
